Copic for Card Makers Day 4

I was so excited about day four because I love coloring flowers.  I also enjoyed learning about directional and non directional shading.  I've always wanted to understand directional shading, but it's also nice to know not everyone colors using directional shading because I find it quite difficult.  Below is my practice sheet for day 4!

Online Card Classes - Copic Markers for Card Markers

I was very excited that Online Card Classes announced a Copic class.  I really enjoyed Stretch Your Stamps 2 and I have been wanting to learn more about coloring with Copics.  The first three days have been great.  I knew most of the techniques from the first day, but the second and third days have had techniques new to me.  My favorites so far have been using an acrylic block to create a medium color and gray shading.  Below are my practice pages for the first three days.  I don't really care for the paper I am currently using.  It is Marcos Paper Cougar 80lbs.  I got it from a local scrapbook company, but I'm not impressed.  It just bleeds too easy.  I have some new paper coming in the mail tomorrow that I hope will be better. Nor not I will have to go back to the Xpress Blending Card.

New Stamps!

I also got some new stamps this weekend that I was dying to use, Lawn Fawn's Argyle Backdrops and Mama Elephant's Carnival Cupcakes.  I have always been a huge fan of argyle and I was so excited when Lawn Fawn released this set.  I immediately fell in love with Carnival Cupcakes by Mama Elephant.  The critters are just so cute!

I also used Pretty Pink Posh 4mm Sparkling Clear Sequins and Paper Smooches Frame 1.

I think it turned out pretty adorable, but I don't know what I will actually use it for.

Once again, I am joining in on the Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Blog Hop.

Water Coloring Part 2

I really love the Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder, so I decided to stamp some more flowers with Versamark Ink.  I used the Ranger Distress Inks.   I think I like this one even better than the first one.  I used another Clearly Besotted sentiment, Lil Inker Designs Stitched Rectangles and some sequins to finish off the card.

I am also including this card in the Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Blog Hop.

Water Coloring Part 1

This weekend I finally decided to try water coloring using Ranger Distress Inks.  I've never water colored before but it looked like fun on the Online Card Classes - Stretch Your Stamps 2 lessons.

My first attempt, I the flowers using Versamark Ink and Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder.  I then used my Ranger Distress Ink to color it.  I also used the Lil Inker Designs Stitched Ovals to frame the flower and then a Clearly Besotted sentiment stamp with Versamark Ink on vellum and embossed with Ranger Liquid Platinum.

I made this to hop along with the Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Blog Hop.

Fun Little Card

Recently we decided to add backsplash in our kitchen as well as paint our kitchen and dining room.  All of that work kept me away from my crafting for a while.  I just got back to my crafting yesterday and I have made a lot of cards.  I wanted to create a card for the MarkerPOP Anything Goes Challenge.

Challenge #51

I flipped through my stamp and landed on this one that I bought while I was in London in May.  I really think the horse just looks so cute in the polaroid die.  I used my Copic markers to color him.

I used the Lil Inker Designs Instant Camera Die, Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders, and Simon Says Hello die to finish the card.

Pretty Pink Posh Dies!

I am so excited I finally got some Pretty Pink Posh dies and sequins.  Every time I went to order some the were sold out.  I am so glad I finally got a hold of them!

Using the PPP Filmstrip die and Stitched Border I created this card.  I also used Lawn Fawn's Love You Tons stamp set.

I just LOVE this card.  It's so cute!

I am entering this card into the A Blog Named Hero Challenge #51 Spell It Out For Me

Simon Say Stamp Monday Challenge

This week's Monday Challenge is to be BOLD in your creation.  I got a new die from Lil Inker Designs that I have been dying to use.  I created a simple card, but made it more fun and bold by adding glossy accents to the already bold Thanks die.  I really like how it turned out.

I used Lawn Fawn's Blissful Botanical and Petite Florals to create some interest as well as a few Pretty Pink Posh 4mm sparkling clear sequins.
